Few days ago, some of my fellow Cebu Fashion Bloggers and I had the privilege to check out Circa 1900 Casa Dos before it opens to the public this coming July 2016. In case you haven’t heard of Casa Dos yet, I have gathered a few details which I’ll be sharing with you guys on this blog post! I guess you have heard or have been to Circa 1900 located at Sanjercasvil Road, Gorordo Avenue, Lahug, Cebu City, Philippines. It’s famous for its relaxing ambiance and sumptuous food. A lot of people celebrate special occasions there as well. Having been restored into a restaurant, piano bar, and function venue, Circa 1900 is definitely not your typical restaurant. Instead of calling it “Circa 1900”, this coming July 2016, we shall call it Casa Uno and we’ll then be introduced to Casa Dos, another colonial house restored into Tapas & Bar, Bakery & Sweets and function venue. Casa Dos is just beside Casa Uno and the whole area is now called Circa 1900. I hope I didn’t confuse you! If you haven’t been to Circa 1900 for a long time, you’ll be surprised to see how it looks like right now!
Welcome to Circa 1900 Casa Dos
Once you enter Casa Dos, you’ll see Cicada Tapas & Bar and Noshery Bakery & Sweets which are both located at the ground floor. Function venues are located at the second floor and they also have an outdoor function venue as well which is located beside the pool (forgot to take a photo of it though).
If you love the relaxing vibe that Casa Uno has, you’ll definitely love Casa Dos even more. It has a swimming pool wherein people can swim and dine for only P500 which includes P300 consumable for food and drinks and P200 to use the pool. (The price may change though)
Cicada Tapas & Bar. My family and I got the chance to have coffee and pastries at Cicada few days ago and we instantly fell in love with its homey and cozy vibe. The pastries that we had that afternoon aren’t part of their menu but from Noshery Bakery & Sweets which is located right across Cicada. During our shoot, if you have been following me on Instagram and Snapchat (@jeancyu), you would know that we got to try some of their dishes like pizza and pasta. Honestly, they were all so good. We have been saying to each other how good the food and drinks are during our video shoot since we were asked to eat and talk at the same time and we can’t think of any other topics in front of the camera! Lol.
I can imagine how nice it would be with all the fully grown plants! Tucked in away from the main road / busy streets of the city, it’s a perfect place for you to chill and catch up with family and friends on days when you don’t feel like travelling all the way North or South of Cebu. It may be located in one of the busiest areas in Cebu City but once you reach Circa 1900, its relaxing atmosphere will take your mind off work.
Last week, Circa 1900 contacted us for a fun collaboration for their official website which will go live real soon. My fellow bloggers and I were asked to prepare a casual look for a casual dining at the pool side and Casa Dos and a semi-formal look for Casa Uno. It was a fun and different experience for us because most of the shoots that we had before were for clothing brands. No OOTD poses but just casual talking and eating! Sounds fun, right? We had the chance to try some of the dishes they’ll be serving at Cicada Tapas & Bar (located inside Casa Dos) and all-time favorite dishes from Casa Uno. I must say, work doesn’t feel like work at all when you’re with your favorite people! Sharing with you some BTS from our shoot and I can’t wait to share with you the official photos and video once they’re out!

Casa Dos is even pretty at night! I can just imagine how crowded this place will be on Valentine’s Day. By the way, once you’re there, don’t forget to go up to enjoy the cool breeze and to see the city view. It’s a must see for anyone visiting!
Thank you, Circa 1900 Casa Uno and Casa Dos for having us!
