Welcomed the ‘ber’ season with this red number from ATE Clothing. Honestly, it was a bit challenging for me to style this top because I’m not a huge fan of oversized tops as they tend to drown my figure. With this, I decided to share with you a few things to consider when it comes to oversized tops in case you’re facing the same dilemma:
Keep everything else fitted
I know it’s tempting to go for loose-on-loose specially on days when comfort is our top priority. Since my top is already oversized, I ditched my favorite boyfriend jeans and culottes and opted for high-waisted fitted jeans instead. I made sure that my jeans sit above my hips to give an illusion of longer legs and also to emphasize my waist. Pairing oversized pieces with fitted ones balances everything out.
Give some emphasis
Aside from wearing high-waisted jeans, I tucked-in the front part of my top in order to emphasize my waist, avoiding myself to look like being swallowed up by fabric. Also, in choosing oversized tops, I’d suggest you go for those that show off a bit of skin to add a little oomph to your look. Who says you can’t look sexy in oversized pieces?
